JSM Career Coaching services have one caveat in mind – that you walk away with a “tangible,” measurable outcome at the end of your sessions. My aim is to give practical and useful coaching sessions, full of information that you can use now and in the future. Through scheduled conference calls and emails, all of our sessions are tailored specifically to your needs.

Resume Coaching:

I will conduct a full assessment of your current résumé, and help you build a sharp, high-octane résumé to start your job search process.  All clients receive three conference call sessions during the development of your résumé. You will also receive feedback throughout the entire process.

My résumé services differ slightly from a traditional résumé writer in that I do not write your résumé for you, but will coach you how to write it yourself. Why?

1. I want you to “own” your résumé. You need to be able to confidently and genuinely communicate your experience and abilities to prospective employers. Going through the process of creating your résumé with a career coach will increase your ability to sell yourself in your job search.

Interview Coaching sessions will aid you in acing the interview process.  We develop your interviewing skills through various preparation techniques, including research and interview role-play.

DISC Behavioral Assessments

DISC is the language of how we act, or our behavior. A person’s behavior is a necessary and integral part of who they are. In other words, much of our behavior comes from “nature” (inherent) and much comes from “nurture” (our upbringing). The DISC model merely analyzes behavioral style; that is, a person’s manner of doing things.

Why is a DISC behavior assessment useful? As a jobseeker, it is important that you know how to incorporate those understandings into your résumé and marketing documents, your interviewing style, and your daily work environment. By identifying your unique traits, you will learn to appreciate the style that is yours and yours alone.

New Job Seekers Job Club

Now you have the chance to join a weekly small group phone session with other job seekers, moderated by a Certified Job Search Strategist!  These sessions are great for on-going support and accountability in a safe and supportive environment.  Groups will begin with a minimum of four and a maximum of ten job seekers and sessions will last one hour.
