Google is making BIG CHANGES in email and it’s going to impact you. Please read this carefully!
Gmail will be automatically filtering any email communication from us so you won’t see it. If you use Gmail, over the next few days and weeks, Gmail users are going to get email after email begging you to drag the sender’s emails to the “PRIMARY” tab and click “YES” to confirm. Because, if you don’t, their emails will by-pass your inbox and, instead, go to the new “PROMOTIONS” tab, which you’re less likely to check. You may not have this feature active in your Gmail yet as Google is rolling out this feature over time. But, if you use Gmail, YOU WILL have it soon.
So, what do you do?
1) Puh-lease, pretty please, with cherries on top: Drag THIS email to your “PRIMARY” tab, if you have this feature enabled. If not, please do so with one of my emails as soon as possible
2) A pop-up will appear to ask if you want to do this for all future messages. Click “Yes”.
Here’s what it looks like in Gmail:
Here’s an article that explains the new Gmail changes: http://bit.ly/13Y4klP
And, if you want to completely remove these new tabs:
=> Go to “Settings” [the icon on the top right corner of your screen above your inbox] and select “Settings.”
=> Click on the “Inbox” tab and “Unselect” all categories but “Primary” and then click “Save Changes.”
Thank you so much, and I apologize for Google making getting the most up-to-date job search news more difficult for you!
